Medea Tchitchoua grew up in the Republic of Georgia, a country noted for the longevity of its citizens. It is well known that many people live to over 100 years.
As a young girl she suffered from headaches, and her mother would use her hands together with many natural herb and plant medicines to cure the pain. Medea became more and more curious about what her mother was doing, what exactly she was using and why did it work. Her mother also taught her the importance of digestion …what you put in your body has an effect on your skin. She learned the benefits of an organic diet…. fruits, nuts, yogurts and vegetables, especially squashes were present at all meals in her home.
As a hobby, she began experimenting with plants, natural products and herbs to create lotions and creams, and when a friend would break out in acne, she would find a solution. She also learned about waxing in a painless, healthy manner.
Before leaving Georgia, she earned a Diploma in Art and Music, and went on to become an accomplished classical pianist. For her there has always been a connection between art and beauty, so it was only natural that after arriving in the USA in 1992, she would go on to study Aesthetics and skin care. She earned her California license in Cosmetology and garnered diplomas from the Guinot Institute, Eminence Organic Skin Care from Budapest and Jean Daniel Mondin at Sothys. She began working in various prestigious salons like Susan Ciminelli at Jose Eber Atelier and Anastasia, where she learned about shaping and creating eyebrow art. For the last 11 years, she has been happily ensconced at Verabella Skin Therapy Spa in Beverly Hills.
“I love this place,” says Medea, “because Vera creates not only beautiful products that work, but she customizes her treatments, and is always working to create more beneficial, scientifically proven skin care to nourish and beautify the skin.”
Medea goes on to say, “I need to see results. I need to see that my clients are happy…that’s what feeds and fulfills me. Before I begin, I examine and analyze the skin condition and I always stress, especially coming from my background the importance of diet …what you eat reflects on your skin. Each skin is different …no two complexions are alike and as such, I love to customize the treatment and facial for each client. I particularly believe in the instant facelift called the Perfect Lift. It gives me great pleasure to demonstrate how instantly younger a client can look no matter the age. It’s very important the skin is thoroughly and deeply cleansed…and this goes beyond creams and lotions. I am constantly researching how to improve …how to do things better. I would never recommend anything I didn’t absolutely believe in. I care deeply about my clients and their sense of well being. I want my clients to shut their eyes and escape the tensions and stress of the outside world when they are in my treatment room. I want to create a haven of peace and serenity and I take pride in choosing just the right music. Music that is healing and tranquil…it helps me to concentrate and helps my clients to relax and be peaceful. Like my mother, I believe I have healing hands and it’s important to be able to transmit this energy to my clients. For me, everyone who comes through my door is a celebrity, no matter who they are or what they do. I want to feel I’m helping people by making them look and feel beautiful.”
IN 2007/2008 Medea was named best Esthetician in Los Angeles.
Dana Waldie was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan and in 2004 this mid-western girl ventured to LA LA Land. At an early age, Dana realized that beauty was in her blood. Her mother is an amazing hair dresser and colorist in her own right, with over 20 years experience and a client list that includes the “who who” of Michigan politics, TV personalities and socialites. In fact, Dana still feels that her mother is The Best colorist she’s ever tried, whether she’s in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills or Michigan. Dana’s passion for color led her to pursue her own dream as a make-up artist.
Dana began her beauty career in 2004, as an assistant to Sonya Dakar in the world of Aesthetics. Later that year she transitioned to Verabella Skin Therapy Spa and while functioning as the Front Desk Coordinator, Dana attended Marinello Beauty School. Once licensed and certified, Dana worked alongside Vera for another 6 months, in order to learn all her beauty secrets.
As an Aesthetician, Dana is not timid with acne and blemishes. She performs her facials with vigor and her technique with extractions is at once painless and effective. Her gentle hands then relax the face as she effortlessly massages tension away.
Dana is an expert semi-permanent eyelash extensions artist and is fully trained by Novalash Eyelash Extensions. In addition to tinting lashed so beautifully, you will have lashes to “dye” for. She also loves eyebrow shaping and tinting. Her philosophy is that “the brows are the shutters to the house, they frame the whole face”.
As a Make-Up Artist, Dana work speaks for itself. Please see the images of the beautiful woman that she has made-up for their weddings, movie premiers, boudoir photos, and red-carpets events.
